Should I stop by the store? How do I get to sitsit or to the afterparty at Piazza without freezing myself? How do I get to the slopes with my skis? Answers to these questions you can find from Savonia Nonstop-transportation, if your accommodation is located in Tahko center, Tahkolahti or Sääskiniemi.

Savonia UAS and Tahkofest are offering a free nonstop-transportation for students during both event days. E.Ahonen bus will operate during Friday and Saturday between Tahkolahti – Piazza – Sääskiniementie 684. You can hop in from final stops and from on route bus stops. Nonstop-transport can be recognized from Tahkofest and Savonia’s logos.

Savonia Nonstop-transport requires two things from you, you’re a student and you have a valid student card and a student union membership. You always have to show your student id to the driver when boarding the bus.

Bus-transportation occurs the same way the city-transport does, there are sitting- and standing spots for 75 people. Despite this the nonstop-transportation can have traffic from time to time. You can transport your skis and boards in the carriage section.

Restaurant Kunkku acts as the official location for the Tahkofest After Ski. Whether you spent the day in the slopes or in their vicinity, Kunkku is the place to be after 15.00 on both Friday and Saturday.

On both days, the “Kuningaslohi” of After Ski’s, DJ JohannesKastaja will be in charge of good vibes and atmosphere. And that’s not everything!

On Friday, 28th of January, it is possible for students to use the Kunkku Sauna & Tub department. By showing your student card, you get to the sauna for free! If you don’t have a towel, one can be rented for 5 euros. Please be notified, that the sauna department has unisex dressing rooms, sauna and tub, so using a bathing suit is appreciated. Sauna & Tub is available for students between 14.00 and 18.00 o’clock.

Another thing to note is the After Ski special offers of Kunkku, which will stand between 14.00 and 18.00 on both Friday and Saturday. This includes beer, cider and long drink from the tap, and licorice shot for 4 euros each. (Normal price is 8,50€). Food is also 20% off during the whole weekend.

OSUMA’S WELL-BEING MORNING

Come bowling for free and enjoy the spa for student prices!

Tahkofest also includes maintaining physical well-being and that is available on Saturday at the Tahko Spa Hotel at Osuma’s well-being morning. During the morning, you can go bowling non-stop for free for at least one lap. The length of the bowling time depends on the current number of visitors. After the bowling it’s nice to go to the spa for a student price (8.50€).

As a responsible employment agency Osuma wants to also bring students some well-being by offering them free bowling during Tahkofest.

Osuma’s table is found at Tahko Spa’s lobby where you can participate in an amazing draw. The winner will get a VIP-table at Piazza for the evening party. Even if spa or bowling doesn’t interest you it’s worth coming to Tahko Spa for this contest!

The third official student sitsit in history of Tahko will be held on Friday 27.01.2023. SAVOTTA, the student body of Savonia University of Applied Sciences, is responsible for arranging the sittning.

What is “sittning”?
Sittning is a table party originated in Sweden, a traditional way of spending the evening among other university students. During the sittning, small-scale speeches are given, as well as (drink) songs are sung. The purpose is to spend a nice evening with fellow students, with good food, drink and songs.

RINNEHUPELLUS

Hupellus snowfestivals will once again bring you some action to Tahkofest! With years of experience in downhill skiing Hupellus once again offers fun slope activities. Make sure you don’t miss this event.

Hupellus will head back to the Norwegian fjords to Hemsedal this spring. If you want to experience this trip, you can book it from the Hupellus’s website.

There will be fun-loving contests with merchandise prizes, as well as general hanging out, which is a great way to find new interdisciplinary mates before the evening events. There is no entrance fee or registration for the event, so all you have to do is arrive!

Are you the master singer of Tahkofest? Can your performance make the crowd go wild. If you answered yes to these questions, you need to be at Bar Ukko’s studen karaoke on Saturday. Best singers and coolest performances will be rewarded with products from Bar Ukko. At Bar Ukko you can also buy beer, cider and long drink at student price of 5€/drink and licorice shot for 4€.

ALPINE STUDENTS ‘FINNISH CHAMPIONSHIP IN TAHKO ON SATURDAY 28.01.2023

The Student Championships in Alpine Sports will be held in Tahko on 28.01.2023. The form of the competition is giant slalom and the sets are skis, board and telemark. The series includes women’s and men’s racing series and the Unisex casual series.

Race format: There are two rounds in the race, the combined time of which decides the winner.

The race track will be made on the Iso Tahko slope.

The tour of the race track will opened at 11.00 o’clock. The competion starts from 12.00 o’clock.

Entry fee:

By registering by 16.12.2022, you will book your place cheaper. The entry fee entitles you to the race and OLL members are insured against injuries.

Tahkofest HUBAILU football tournament

On Saturday, from 15.00 o’clock, a fun-filled HUBAILU football tournament will be held at the foot of the Tahkonrinteet in connection with the slopes, where the most important thing is having fun with other faculty festivals 🙂 You don’t have take the whole day to play, because the goal is to pull the tournament through in less than an hour.

REGISTRATION
Registration is via the link below or on site by 14.00 o’clock. The first 16 teams to enter the tournament will be accepted.

The maximum size of the team is 10 people, of whom 1 + 4 are on the field at the same time. One player from the team must be designated as the goalkeeper. At least half of the team must be students and this must be verified on site with a student card if necessary.

HUBAILU football RULES:

1. The tournament is played according to the cup rule: the losing team is immediately eliminated from the tournament
2. Playing time maximum 2 minutes. The playing time is running when the ball is playable after the referee whistles. The game ends with golden goal or when the time is up.
3. The starter of the game is drawn and the game starts from the center of the field
4. The game is played according to normal football rules, with the exception of offsets and penalties
5. The goal is created when the ball is clearly played to the goal
6. If no goals are scored during the game, a penalty shoot-out will be taken on sudden death
7. A free kick is awarded when an opponent plays the ball with a hand or commits a minor foul (unintentional tipping, etc.)
8. The free kick is taken from the offense point. The opponent must be at least two meters away from the ball and if not, the opponent team will be awarded for an another penalty kick.
9. A serious offense (intentional struggle, injury to an opponent, a field player playing a hand in a goal situation) will result in a penalty kick and the player will be driven out of the tournament with a straight red card.
10. Each player participates in the tournament at their own risk
11. Participation in the tournament is free

EVENING PARTY

The official evening party of Tahkofest will be held both on Friday and Saturday starting from 21:00 in the restaurant Piazza. The beats of Friday are guaranteed by the great party duo Pasi and Anssi. Saturday night culminates in Etta.

The ticket price is 14 euros both on Friday and Saturday. The ticket includes a cloak room fee (3e) and the Tahkofest overall badge. Party tickets are purchased through the Kide.app service and you can conveniently receive the ticket on your mobile phone as a mobile ticket. You will receive an overalls badge from Piazza’s ticket sales on the evening of the event. Also, be prepared to show your student card at the ticket office!
