Day & time

Saturday at 2:30 PM

Event location
Tahkonlahti

On Saturday at 14:30, a lighthearted HUBAILU football tournament will be held at the base of the Tahko slopes, where the main focus is not on running with a mouthful of blood, but on having fun with fellow Tahkofest attendees. No need to reserve the whole day for playing; the goal is to complete the tournament in a fair hour. The development of winter will determine whether we play football in the snow or on ice.

Registration
Registration can be done using the form below or on-site by 14:00. The tournament is open to the first 16 teams to register.

Team size: A maximum of 10 people, with 1 + 4 players on the field at the same time. One player must be designated as the goalkeeper. The tournament is only for students, and all players must have a Tahkofest wristband.

Price
Participation in the tournament is free, but a Tahkofest wristband is required for all players.

HUBAILU Football Rules:

  1. The tournament is played in a knockout format, meaning the losing team is immediately eliminated.
  2. Maximum game time is 2 minutes. Game time runs when the ball is playable after the referee’s whistle. The game ends when either team scores two goals or when the game time expires.
  3. The starting team is drawn, and the game begins from the center point.
  4. The game is played according to normal football rules, except for offside and penalty rules.
  5. A goal is scored when the ball is clearly played into the goal.
  6. If two goals are not scored during the game time, a penalty shootout will be conducted in sudden death.
  7. The penalty kick is taken from the half-field into an empty goal.
  8. A free kick is awarded when the opponent plays the ball with their hand or commits a minor foul (unintentional falling, etc.).
  9. The free kick is taken from the place of the infraction. The opponent must be at least two meters away from the ball. A new free kick is awarded for distance violations.
  10. A serious foul (intentional tripping, harming an opponent, field player handling the ball in a goal situation) results in a penalty kick from the half-field into an empty goal, and the player is sent off with a straight red card for the entire tournament.
  11. Each player participates in the tournament at their own risk.
  12. Participation in the tournament is free, but a Tahkofest wristband is required for all players.
