The Student Committee of RKL ry is organizing an open-to-all Karvalakkikyykkä event on the ice at Tahkolahti. Games will be played non-stop on Friday from 11:00 to 15:00. You can drop by at any time—alone, with a friend, or with a larger group. There’s no need to wait around in the cold, as there will also be small side activities between games!

If you’re not familiar with kyykkä as a sport, don’t worry! We will guide every player through the rules. The idea of kyykkä is simple: you throw a kyykkä club (karttu) to knock wooden blocks (kyykät) off the playing area as effectively as possible. The games are played in a relaxed spirit, and you can join in without any prior experience.

There is no advance registration for the event—you can simply show up during the event hours and join the games when a field becomes available. Participation is free, and the quickest participants will receive a special overall patch from the event!

The Karvalakkikyykkä event is made possible by the Rakennusmestarit ja -insinöörit AMK RKL ry—known more familiarly as RKL.
